About Me: Resume
Hello and welcome. My name is Yuu (優).
I’ve been home educated for the last seven years. This has allows me to concentrate on what i love, to grow and expand my knowledge of what interests me.

I enjoy the freedom home education brings, and this life choice has lead me to painting. I spend most of the day painting or sketching ideas down for future painting, theres also some pastel and ink thrown into the mix.
I also enjoy Japanese culture, music and Harajuku fashion. In my spare time, I am teaching myself Japanese and I am currently studying for my JLPTn4.
To relax I play drums, guitar, bass and piano, and I am working towards grading, with a view to teaching in the future, to help pay for my university tuition.
I can often be found at Gallery Oldham, where i volunteer, assisting with the Discover, Explore and Bronze art award sessions as well as generally helping out with the creative spaces sessions for home educated young people. I am an active member of Gallery Oldham Collective and also take part in the YouthLab sessions run at the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Arts.
