Iin japanese folklore she resembles a reptilious creature, although apperance varies from story to story. Nure Onna can usually be found on the shoreline washing her hair, she lures men using her beauty where they suffer death by strangulation.

SAZAE ONI

A monsterous demon creature in Japanese folkelore is born when a lustful young woman is thrown into the sea or when a turbo snail reaches the age of 30. Sazae Oni lures men into trouble by changing shape to a beautiful woman pretending to be a drowning victim, then they turn on their would be saviour.

TEKE TEKE

Based on a type of Onryo called Teke Teke, so named after the noise she makes as she drags herself round by the arms. Depending on the version of the tale, she is based on an innocent woman pushed under a train or a timid schoolgirl who is bullied. If you are not fast enough and caught at night in the train station, it is believed she will slice you in half with her scythe.

IGEBO

In Japanese folklore, Igebo is a type of onibi - atmospheric ghost light - they can be spirits of resentful people who have become fire and appeared or spirits born from the corpse of humans or animals from the Watarai District, Mie Prefecture.

HARI ONAGO

A ghost who appears as a beautiful woman, with the ability to control her hair, the tips form into sharp hooks or barbs. She stalks lonely roads after dark looking for a young man to return her smile, if he does then she unleashes her terrible barbed hair and attacks him. Once caught she uses the barbs to cut him to pieces.
